TGIF
Jack likes these overalls because he can shove his pig in the pocket. He walks around the house laughing and making pig noises. It is so cute! There are some weeks when I wonder what I have been doing for the last five days?? Okay, so Erica, I know that your birthday was this week. Have I called? Sent a gift? I know I am such a loser. If it makes you feel any better I haven't mailed Sara's gift yet either...and we both know how long that has been.
The best part of this week was some sunny weather on Wednesday and Thursday. We (me and the kids) walked both days in the neighborhood. There were so many kids playing outside and it was really fun to watch the kids get excited watching them. We also discovered that Jack will be the one kid in the neighborhood who will be hugging and kissing other people's pets. The kid goes nuts for dogs. He just shakes when he sees them--its definitely an intense connection. I love it. I have wanted to get a dog for a long time and this is going to be another good reason. These are some pictures from this week of Ernie and Jack. They are so funny together. Ernie is the weirdest cat. He is seriously choosy about his friends (Jeff, Jack and Aunt Carrie)--notice that I am not on this list. The feeling is often mutual in this category. Nonetheless, Jack LOVES him and he is constantly wanting to give him a hug or a pat.

Jack gives him a "snug".

Ernie later returns the favor.

They are both having some cheerios in this picture. Bruce is in the background, but trust me, he is not eating Cheerios.
I was relieved last night when Danny was given the boot off the IDOL. When it came down to him and Jacuzzi, well, I figured that it was a WIN, WIN for the viewers either way. The only thing that would have made it possible for me to watch him one more week is if he would have covered a Cher song. It would have been too perfect and I think that I would have enjoyed it. What can I say, he really missed an opportunity. Paula should have saved her tears for someone who was worth it.

TV Show Catch Up
I'm finally caught up on my television viewing. I had a million shows TiVo'd--aauuggh, the pressure of these reality shows. Thank goodness that the writer's strike is over. At least I can get back to one show a week.
Now for the rundown, Biggest Loser. Okay, Mark, glad he's gone. I never liked him after he totally "snaked" Dan's mom (who I loved) and sent her home. Jay: stop your damn bawling after your brother went home. You're almost 40 years old- suck it up and learn to deal with disappointment. Dan: He's my favorite. Can he beat Roger? I don't know, but maybe next week if his mom comes back--that would be awesome! Bernie: shoot dude, raw deal. It should have been Kelly who got sent packing. I've never really liked her anyway...and her partner (can't remember his name "Mr. No-Neck") well, I almost threw up after I watched him eat those chicken legs. gag me!!
American Idol. Hey, folks the right people got sent home last week. After last night--well, Luke, doesn't have a prayer and I would send ol' Jacuzzi right along beside him. Now, having said that--Robbie "Mr. Dreadlocks" I can't even watch him sing his songs because his hair bothers me so bad. It is seriously styled. You don't style dreads--they are just there in all of their rough, greasy, unkempt way. Am I just out there on this? I've known a number of people with dreads and I have never seen anyone twist them up the sides and pull them back with a barrette! Hold them back with an elastic band, in a make shift pony tail, yes. But, back off your face with a clip, no. The only thing missing was some ringlets to frame his face.
And finally, Paula...Oh, Paula, she is seriously getting more crazy every year. Jeff thinks that she is just completely drunk, but I'm not so sure. I think that she really believes that she is connecting with people--who? Who is Paula connecting with? Does she just wiggle around in that chair because she is anxious, or does she need to go to the bathroom? Does she clap her hands with her fingers bent back because, well, just why? I don't know, but I'm pretty sure that we couldn't have lunch together. It would be very awkward.
And last, but not least, Brothers & Sisters: I don't think that Mr. Walker is Rebekah's father. I think that we are going to find out that Mr. Blast from the Past is her dad. Hum, so does that mean that she has an opportunity to fall in love with Justin?? very interesting.
